Built in 1941, Miles Memorial Hospital is the principal hospital serving Lincoln County. It is a 38-bed acute care hospital with four ICU/CCU beds, an obstetrics unit, and a fully staffed 24-hour-a-day emergency department. The hospital offers patients access to general, day, and orthopedic surgery, obstetric care, cardiac rehabilitation, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, x-ray, ultrasound, CT scanning, MRI, and a variety of laboratory services.
As part of Miles Health Care, Miles Memorial Hospital houses skilled and intermediate nursing facilities, a congregate living center for retirees, home health, hospice services, an assisted living facility, and a women’s health care center. The medical staff includes six internists, eight family practitioners, two general surgeons, an ophthalmologist, three pediatricians, an anesthesiologist, a radiologist, three orthopedists, and two OB/GYNs.
