The Maine Heart Center is a nonprofit organization with hospitals throughout southern and central Maine dedicated to delivering superior care in cardiac services. In partnership with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and anesthesiologists, the Maine Heart Center network offers open-heart surgery, angioplasty, cardiac catheterizations and other cardiac procedures.

The physicians of the Maine Heart Center network benefit from the shared knowledge and experience gained by participating in a high-volume cardiac network but, because there is a significant statistical correlation between good outcomes and high volume, the patients are the ultimate beneficiaries.
