About Us

The Lifeline Workplace Wellness Program has a proud history of serving the wellness needs of Maine employers for over two decades. Prior to moving to Maine Medical Center in late 2009, the program was a division within the Lifeline Center for Wellness and Health Promotion at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. Lifeline is currently housed in MMC's Division of Community and Preventive Medicine with a primary role of being the hospitals external worksite wellness provider through HealthWoRx and administrator of the Southern Maine Wellness Council.

HealthWoRx is uniquely positioned to service the diverse wellness needs of employers through partnerships with a variety of MMC and MaineHealth departments and organizations. We also take advantage of relationships with national vendors and community resources to support the work of the program.  Lifeline caters to employers in all business sectors and of all sizes.

The Southern Maine Wellness Council is your support system for networking, resource development and professional development for your wellness staffs. A council membership is a perfect synergy for your wellness programming.
