About Our Residents
Residents are medical doctors who have completed four years of medical school and who have chosen to pursue additional specialty training. Having recently graduated from school, residents are very knowledgeable of the latest medical technologies and theories.
Both in the office and in the hospital, they are closely supervised by attending physicians who have completed and are board certified in their specialty. In addition, our residents are trained and work closely with attending physicians from other specialties. Being licensed medical doctors, residents are able to act as primary care physicians and to write prescriptions for all medications. They can admit patients to the hospital under the authority of an attending physician and manage hospitalized patients.
